About

Coquina Beach, FL is located on the South end of Anna Maria Island; it is one of the most beautiful Anna Maria Island beaches. It is located on the Gulf of Mexico, so it has clear blue water that is sure to take your breath away. This old-style Florida beach is lined with tall pine trees that give you shade from the hot Florida sun. Coquina Beach is an incredibly picturesque place to spend your entire day swimming, playing, biking, or simply relaxing. For your convenience, the beach is open from sunrise to midnight every day.

Directions to Coquina Beach

Since the island itself is only seven miles long, you can easily bike or walk to the beach, depending on where you stay. You can rent a bike and rent a golf cart if that is a better choice for you.

Regardless of your method, Coquina Beach is about nine miles south of Holmes Beach. Keep an eye for signs to your right on Gulf Drive, and you can’t miss it.

If a bike or golf cart doesn’t interest you, Anna Maria Island also has a trolley that runs the entire length of the island. The Anna Maria Island trolley operates from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. every day and has a stop right at the start of Coquina Beach. The trolley arrives at each stop every 20 minutes, so you will never have to wait too long for a ride. If you choose to drive to the beach, there is free parking available.
