About Liza DiFranza
Lisa DiFranza originally hails from New York City, where she fell in love with artwork after watching her dad sketch scenes inspired by their neighborhood. Over the years, she has worked in theaters in Maine, Chicago, New York, and Iowa, and she has taught in various high schools and was on the production faculty of the Juilliard School Drama Division. Lisa currently lives in downtown Bradenton and continues to create breathtaking pieces inspired by the world around her.
Her Art
Lisa’s artwork is primarily inspired by the world around her. Pieces such as “Manatee River Mysteries” and “Daylight, Manatee River” are directly inspired by the beautiful conditions of the Bradenton area. Lisa’s work can also reflect her moods or the overall landscape of the world around us.
In early 2020, the coronavirus pandemic impacted the entire world, and Lisa was no exception. Unfortunately, she lost her job in the wake of the pandemic, but she didn’t want the prospect of quarantine to halt her creativity. Quite the opposite! She chose to use her newfound free time to begin a daily painting project, reflecting her everyday surroundings, thoughts and dreams throughout the year, and the developing political landscape in America.
